Peter Thomas has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Manager of BESS and Synchronous Modelling for Victorian Connections at the Australian Energy Market Operator since May 2020, following roles as Principal Engineer, Senior Engineer, and Engineer in the same division. Prior to AEMO, Peter worked as a Power Systems Engineer and Grid Engineering Intern at ACCIONA from November 2017 to May 2020, focusing on grid connection and design. Additionally, Peter gained organizational experience as a Business Support Officer at Monash University between July 2016 and November 2017. Peter holds a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Engineering from Monash University, awarded in 2019.
