Steven Humphries

Steven Humphries is a highly experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as a Demand Response Specialist at the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) since January 2018. Previously, Steven held the position of Issue Lead for Demand-Side Participation at the Energy Security Board for a brief period in 2018, focusing on the National Energy Guarantee. A tenure at Energex from June 2010 to January 2018 included roles such as Senior Future Networks Integration Engineer, Demand Management Manager, Principal Engineer Load Management, and Metering Engineer. Earlier career experience includes working as a Project Engineer at UGL Limited and as a Continuous Improvement Engineer at O-I Glass Australia. Steven holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from The University of Queensland, along with a Graduate Certificate in Electricity Supply Engineering from Queensland University of Technology.
