Syed Ahmed

Syed Ahmed is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in power system analysis and generator modeling, particularly within the Victorian Transmission Network. At the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), Syed held various roles including Manager of Generator Modelling for VIC Connections, where responsibilities included leading grid connection assessments and providing technical leadership. Previous positions included Principal Engineer and Engineer in VIC Connections, focusing on project feasibility and connection assessments for renewable energy sources. Prior to AEMO, Syed worked at Jacobs as a Power System Analyst, and engaged in research at RMIT University as a Research Assistant. Syed's career began at Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited as an Electrical Reliability Engineer and included a graduate role at TechWin Enterprises in research and development. Syed holds a Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from RMIT University and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST).
