Mark Eisner

Mark Eisner is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Vir Biotechnology. They previously held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at FibroGen, Inc., and served on the Scientific Advisory Board at Aer Therapeutics, Inc. From 2010 to 2020, Mark was a Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, where they also headed a NIH-funded clinical research program and managed a postdoctoral research training program. Additionally, they have contributed to various organizations including the Genentech Foundation and the American Thoracic Society. Mark earned an AB in Human Biology from Stanford University.
