David Parsons

Chief Engineer - Systems Integration at AeroTEC

David Parsons has a diverse and extensive work experience in the aerospace industry. David began their career in 1979 as an Engineer at Smiths Industries, where they completed their apprenticeship and gained experience in various areas such as ARINC data buses, Air Data systems, and aircraft wiring. David then worked at Smiths Aerospace as a Systems/Hardware Engineer, leading the development and design of power distribution systems for large civil aircraft. David joined Thales Avionics in 2004 as a Power Conversion Systems Engineer and Team Leader, responsible for requirement capture and architecture development for a new aircraft. In 2006, they joined GE Aviation as a Systems Engineer, specializing in Brake System Design and weight management of the Landing Gear System. Most recently, David held positions at AeroTEC - Aerospace Testing Engineering & Certification L.L.C, first as a Group Lead Mech Systems, and later as the Director of Aircraft and Systems Engineering. In these roles, they coordinated system test and certification requirements, authored specifications, and supported flight and ground test activities. Throughout their career, David has demonstrated expertise in engineering, requirements development, compliance, and certification documentation.

David Parsons attended the University of Gloucestershire from 1979 to 1987, where they completed a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Their field of study was focused on Electrical, Electronic, and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician.
