Robert Montgomery

Instrumentation Engineer / Flight Test and Evaluation at AeroTEC

Robert Montgomery has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Robert is currently working as an Instrumentation Engineer / Flight Test and Evaluation at AeroTEC - Aerospace Testing Engineering & Certification Inc., where they are responsible for leading a team in designing, integrating, installing, and troubleshooting data acquisition equipment and sensors. Robert also maintains calibration records and performs AC Instrumentation modifications and pre/post flight operations for function and safety.

Prior to their current role, Robert worked as a Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer at Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation, where they led a team in troubleshooting instrumentation and data acquisition systems and maintained calibration records and equipment.

Robert also has experience working as an Instrumentation Engineer / Flight Test and Evaluation at AeroTEC - Aerospace Testing Engineering & Certification Inc., where they were involved in telemetry operations, creation of instrumentation monitoring standards, and designing and building weather station systems for flight testing.

Before entering the aerospace industry, Robert worked as an Electronic Technician II at Honeywell Aerospace, where they isolated and troubleshooted electronics, calibrated and adjusted units, and maintained equipment, components, devices, and systems.

Robert also served as a Student Chair at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) during their time at DeVry University, where they worked as an IT Support Assistant and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Electronic Engineering Technology.

Prior to their civilian career, Robert served in the U.S. Army / Washington National Guard as an E-4 SPC / Food Service Specialist.

From 2010 to 2013, Robert Montgomery attended DeVry University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering Technology. During their time at DeVry University, they also pursued a minor in Electronic Engineering Technology through a program that was accredited by ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology).
