Rob Cantanio

Rob Cantanio has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Rob started their career at Whitman, Requardt & Associates Engineers as a Systems Engineer, where they designed and developed technology solutions for municipal utilities providers. Rob then worked at Yankee Engineering Inc as a Systems Sales Engineer, handling mechanical handling systems and custom fabrications for industrial facilities.

Cantanio then joined Columbia Research Corporation (CRC) as a Systems Engineer, providing systems engineering and security resolution support to the US Marine Corps. Rob also supported network security administration and performed quality assurance tasks.

After that, they worked at CSC - Computer Sciences Corporation as a Senior Engineer, contributing to the design and development of a relational database for a fiber-optic network.

Cantanio then joined SAIC, where they held multiple roles including Program Manager, Strategic Initiatives Manager, and Senior InfoSec Engineer. Rob managed various programs and initiatives, demonstrating their expertise in information security.

In 2015, Cantanio took on the role of President at 5-Stones Consulting, LLC, where they were responsible for the overall management and operations of the company.

Rob also worked at Building Automation Services as the Chief Financial Officer and Contracts Manager, overseeing financial and contractual aspects of the company.

From 2015 to 2019, Cantanio served as the Executive Director at Blackdragon, where they played a key role in the coalition of experts focused on winning and running federal contracts.

Currently, Cantanio works at Aerstone as the Senior IT Security Assessment Program Manager. Prior to this role, they held positions as the Marketing and Business Consultant and Director of Strategic Business Operations. In these roles, they were responsible for proposal management, strategic business development, and corporate finance management.

Throughout their career, Cantanio has demonstrated their expertise in various domains including technology solutions, sales engineering, program management, and information security.

Rob Cantanio attended Virginia Military Institute from 1984 to 1988, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In addition, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Program Management Institute (PMI) in June 2010.
