Amanda Smith is a seasoned professional in environmental policy and legal affairs, currently serving as the Vice President of External Affairs at AES Clean Energy since January 2021. Previously, Amanda held the position of VP of Public Policy and Senior Counsel at sPower from January 2019 to January 2021, and served as an Environment, Energy & Natural Resources Attorney at Holland & Hart LLP from June 2015 to December 2018. Prior experience includes roles as Executive Director at the Utah Department of Environmental Quality, Energy Advisor to Governor Gary Herbert, Legislative & Rural Policy Director for the Office of the Governor Jon Huntsman, Jr., and Director of Government Relations at The Nature Conservancy. Amanda's career began with service as Executive Director of The Homeless Children's Foundation. Amanda holds a J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law, a BS in Political Science from the University of Utah, and a diploma from Park City High School.
