Felipe Cantero

Felipe Cantero, MBA, PMP, serves as the Chief Engineering Officer and VP of Engineering at The AES Corporation since February 2016, following a successful tenure at Abengoa from 2003 to 2015, where roles included Project/Engineering Manager for Abengoa Solar LLC and Engineering and Construction Director for the Solana Project. With extensive experience in energy storage and solar technologies, Felipe has led design and construction efforts for significant solar power projects, coordinated R&D initiatives, and ensured compliance with regulatory requirements. Felipe holds an Executive MBA from the University of Colorado Denver, a Project Manager Program certificate from Georgetown University, and a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Sevilla.
