Ian Williams

Ian Williams is an experienced energy procurement professional with a robust background in managing large-scale power resource budgets and negotiating Power Purchase Agreements. Currently serving as Director of California/CAISO Origination at AES Clean Energy since April 2022, Ian has previously held key roles at San Diego Community Power, where responsibilities included managing a $511 million power resources procurement budget and leading a Local RFI for RPS energy. Ian's expertise also extends to Silicon Valley Clean Energy as Power Resources Manager, where a budget of $240 million was overseen, and notable agreements were negotiated. Earlier experiences at companies such as MCE and Pacific Gas and Electric Company contributed to a well-rounded career that began after obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Harvard University.
