Isaac Castillo

Isaac Castillo is a seasoned professional in the energy sector with extensive experience in risk management, strategy, and regulatory affairs. Currently serving as the MCAC Structuring Manager at The AES Corporation since December 2022, prior roles include Head of Risk Management & Strategy for Enel Green Power in Central America, where responsibilities encompassed market analysis, risk assessment, investment evaluation in renewable developments, and regulatory policy formulation. Additional experience includes regulatory oversight, energy trade analysis, and consultancy in electric demand management, alongside contributions to academic research on energy systems and demand response methodologies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Isaac holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a focus on Power and Energy Systems from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá.
