Lauren Maxwell

Lauren Maxwell, CPA, currently serves as Manager of Tax Planning at The AES Corporation, a role held since November 2021, and previously worked as a Senior Tax Analyst at the same organization. Prior experience includes a tenure at Deloitte from August 2019 to November 2021, where Lauren advanced from Tax Consultant to Tax Senior, managing client engagements and overseeing staff. Notable responsibilities encompassed reviewing tax documentation, conducting audit procedures related to tax provisions, and addressing complex tax issues arising from significant legislation such as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and the CARES Act. Lauren began the professional journey with internships at Deloitte and Marcum LLP and holds a Master of Science in Accounting with a Taxation Concentration and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, both from James Madison University, supplemented by a brief educational experience in the COB 300 Business Program at the University of Antwerp.
