Mario Lopez

Mario Lopez is a seasoned professional in environmental, health, safety, and sustainability (EHS&S) management, currently serving as the Global EHS Construction Manager at The AES Corporation since April 2017. In this role, Mario oversees the implementation and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System and EHS&S Plan for both Renewable and Non-Renewable Construction Projects, focusing on safety culture, compliance with AES EHS Standards, and applicable regulations. Prior to this, Mario held various EHS construction project management positions at AES Gener in Chile from 2007 to 2017, managing significant projects such as coal and photovoltaic power plants and battery energy storage systems. Mario's career includes earlier experience at SalfaCorp, where contributions spanned safety construction management across mining and hydroelectric projects.
