Matt Dalton

Matt Dalton is an experienced professional in labor relations and human resources, currently serving as Director and Strategic Human Resources Business Partner at The AES Corporation since January 2020. Prior to this role, Matt held the position of Director of Labor Relations at Norfolk Southern Corporation from March 2019 to January 2020. Matt's extensive background at Norfolk Southern includes serving as Assistant Director of Labor Relations, where responsibilities included managing a team, guiding disciplinary investigations, and negotiating collective bargaining agreements. Earlier in his career, Matt worked as a Labor Relations Officer, acting as a liaison between union representatives and management, and also served as a Small Business Self-Employment Consultant for the Job Accommodation Network. Matt founded and operated Touch of Health Massage Therapy from 1998 to 2008. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations from West Virginia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Fairmont State University.
