Michael Sagan

Michael Sagan serves as the Senior Engineering Manager for Utility East at The AES Corporation, focusing on utility scale solar and battery storage projects and navigating the 94-C and SEQR permitting process in New York. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Energy Consultant and Senior Electrical Associate at Sargent & Lundy, providing technical services for renewable energy and nuclear projects. At MWH (now part of Stantec), Michael was the Lead Electrical Engineer for compliance review on hydroelectric power plants. Earlier experience at Nexus Technical Services Corporation involved leading electrical engineering for Post–Fukushima FLEX conceptual designs and gap analysis. Michael holds both a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Marquette University.
