Oana Root has extensive experience in the energy sector, beginning with a role in Energy Structuring/Restructuring at Mirant Corp from 2000 to 2005. Oana then joined Morgan Stanley, serving in Power and Gas Origination from 2005 to 2012, followed by a period of self-employment for energy consulting from 2013 to November 2018. Oana transitioned to Brookfield Renewable, where Oana held the position of Senior Director, Origination from December 2018 to November 2022. Subsequently, Oana worked as Executive Director of C&I Origination at NextEra Energy Resources from December 2022 to May 2024. Currently, Oana serves as Vice President of Structured Origination at The AES Corporation, beginning in May 2024.
