Walter Crenshaw

Walter Crenshaw is the Senior Director of Origination US East at The AES Corporation, where responsibilities include leading efforts in renewable energy commercialization, successfully executing over 2GW of solar and wind projects across the US East, and developing a high-performing team of originators. Previously, Walter held various roles such as Senior Director of Portfolio Execution at AES Clean Energy, managing a multi-GW portfolio of renewable energy agreements, and Director of Development at Community Energy, where entry into the Virginia solar market was spearheaded. Prior experience includes Director of Commercial Business at Dominion Energy, where the commercial launch of the second LNG export facility in the U.S. was led, and various roles in business development and energy trading. Walter's academic credentials include an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and advanced degrees in Financial Economics and Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University.
