Yulin Chen is a skilled materials scientist with extensive experience in polymer chemistry and advanced material development. Currently at AesculaTech since September 2020, Yulin is focused on creating smart transformable materials aimed at treating dry eye disease, utilizing high molecular weight, high yield, and high purity concepts in polymer design and synthesis. Prior roles include serving as a Sr. Scientist at Glidewell Dental, where Yulin led the development of various dental materials and supervised research teams. Yulin also held positions as a consultant at C-Crete Technologies LLC, research scientist at Rice University, and research and development chemist at Intelligent Optical Systems, Inc. Previous postdoctoral experiences at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory involved innovative work on peptoids and lithium-ion batteries. Yulin holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry/Polymer Science from UC Irvine, a Master’s degree in Polymer Chemistry and Physics from the Guangzhou Institute of Chemistry, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Nankai University.
