Dan Smith

Dan Smith is currently the Head of Optical Sciences at Aeva, a position held since July 2022. Prior to this, Dan Smith had a lengthy tenure at Nikon Research Corporation of America from May 2004 to July 2022, where roles included NRCA Fellow, Director of Optical Science, and Principal Scientist. Dan Smith's early career included a Graduate Fellowship at Kodak from 1999 to 2001. Academically, Dan Smith holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Science (MS) in Optics/Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona, along with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
