Gautham Narayan is a Senior Perception Engineer at Aeva since November 2022, focusing on ML model training and deployment for object detection, semantic segmentation, and scene flow estimation for 4D lidar. Prior to this role, Gautham served as a Computer Vision Engineer at Path Robotics, developing computer vision methods for autonomous robotic welding. Gautham gained significant research experience at Carnegie Mellon University from September 2018 to August 2021, working on perception, reinforcement learning, and self-supervised segmentation, while also engaging with various robotic hardware and sensors. Additionally, Gautham was a Visiting Researcher at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, contributing to computer vision research for autonomous UAVs. Gautham holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Robotics and Vision from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree from Vellore Institute of Technology.
