Michael McCord

Michael McCord is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in opto-mechanical design and product development. Currently serving as the Opto-Mechanical Engineering Manager at Aeva since November 2021, Michael previously held significant roles at Apple from July 2012 to November 2021, including Product Design Engineering Manager and Lead Design Engineer, where accomplishments included leading the mechanical engineering team responsible for custom optical sensors such as Face ID and proximity sensing technologies. Earlier experience includes a Mechanical Design Engineer position at Lab126, contributing to the Kindle product line, and design work for Stanford University's Department of Mechanical Engineering. Michael holds a B.S.M.E. in Product Design Engineering from Stanford University.
