Sohrab Roointan

Sohrab Roointan is a skilled engineer with extensive experience in system testing, research, and engineering roles across academia and the industry. Currently serving as a LiDAR System Test Engineer at Aeva since September 2021, Sohrab previously held positions such as Research Associate at the University of Toronto, Systems Engineer at MOLLI Surgical, and Teaching Assistant for various engineering courses. Notable research includes developing a novel laser-based 3D imaging modality at the Center for Advanced Diffusion-Wave and Photoacoustic Technologies, as well as conducting computational studies on neural stimulation techniques at the Neural Engineering Laboratory. Sohrab's educational background includes a Master of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto, along with a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Sharif University of Technology.
