Prior to these roles, Wilson worked as the Senior Legal Counsel (Contract) at Travelex from February 2014 to April 2015. Charles supported the foreign exchange business in legal matters and oversaw its operations across multiple countries.
Wilson began their career in law at DLA Piper, where they worked as an Associate and Trainee from September 1997 to January 2004. Charles then joined Bond Pearce LLP as an Associate from February 2004 to July 2005.
Charles'slongest tenure was at Trowers & Hamlins, a Top 40 UK and international commercial law firm, where they worked in various roles. Charles started as a Senior Associate in August 2005 and eventually became a Partner in May 2009. During their time at Trowers & Hamlins, Wilson advised a wide range of clients, including listed companies, private equity firm-owned companies, owner-managed companies, joint ventures, and public sector organizations in various sectors, particularly in the UK and the Middle East.
Charles Wilson attended Shrewsbury School from 1987 to 1992, where they obtained A Levels in English, Geography, and History. Charles then went on to study Law at the University of Exeter from 1992 to 1995. Finally, in 1995-1996, they pursued the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law.
