Aevum Foundry AI is a British company building artificial intelligence for the people who carry the load: classroom teachers, the staff who keep school offices running, tutors and the learners they support, and the growing number of people running an entire business on their own.
It is built on a simple conviction — that AI should augment human talent, not replace it, and never quietly harvest the people who use it. Aevum's tools are local-first and privacy-first by design: they run on your own hardware, your data stays with you, and your work is never fuel for someone else's model.
The company's models are trained on Dawn, the UK's national AI research supercomputer at the University of Cambridge, then run locally for the people who use them. Designed in the UK and accountable to UK law and safeguarding standards, Aevum is built to run without a Silicon Valley account.
Accessibility is a founding principle, not an afterthought — the company is led by a neurodivergent founder and builds to a WCAG 2.2 AAA target, with additional needs, AAC and Makaton considered from the start.
Aevum was founded by Ana Jardim, who spent twenty years teaching IT and Computer Science — first in Portugal, then in England, from primary school to A-Level — and now trains the models herself. Every tool began as a real question a teacher, an administrator, a tutor or a founder actually asked.
Tools for the classroom, the school office, the learner, the solo business, and everyday life are in development. To follow along or get in touch: hello@aevumfoundry.ai
