Matthew Moore

Matthew Moore is an accomplished insurance executive with extensive experience in underwriting and risk management. Currently serving as the Managing Director of Commercial Markets at AF Group since June 2025, Matthew oversees the governance of underwriting functions across multiple business units. Previously, Matthew held the position of Chief Underwriting Officer at Berkley Mid-Atlantic Group, managing a $110 million commercial premium portfolio. At The Hanover Insurance Group, Matthew progressed through various roles, including Assistant Vice President and Commercial Lines Manager, overseeing significant commercial portfolios and teams. Matthew's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science, Insurance, and Risk Management from Ball State University, where honors were achieved, including graduating Cum Laude. Early academic accomplishments include ranking in the top 10 and being part of the Honor Society at Hamilton Heights High School.
