Manuel Tender

Manuel Tender is a PhD in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Safety Coordination and over 30 years of experience in occupational risk management for complex mega infrastructure projects. Currently an adjunct professor at both the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto and the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, they lead research efforts focused on BIM-based approaches to occupational risk prevention. Manuel has held various influential roles, including Health and Safety Manager at MLVCT Lda and Site Safety Manager for significant projects with Mota-Engil. Additionally, they serve as the Lead Researcher at Digital4OSH and are involved in multiple teaching and research activities related to construction safety and management.
