Johan Gorter is a seasoned software architect with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as Lead Software Architect at AFAS Software since February 2013, focusing on architecture and innovation. In addition to leading projects at AFAS, Johan operates a personal venture, johangorter.com, starting in September 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Software Architect at Robidus, where challenges included modernizing a Human Resource application, and as Technical Architect at Everest, contributing to strategic technology decisions and mentoring junior architects. Johan has also worked at ABN AMRO Hypotheken Groep, where significant contributions were made to the UFO/eChannels system, alongside positions at ANVA, SOGYO, and NCIM. Johan holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Twente, earned between 1997 and 2003.
