Research Manager, Media Analytics at Affectiva

Serena Pang has a diverse and impressive work experience. Serena began their career in 2013 as a Student Speaker, Undergraduate Research Assistant, Student Photographer, and Developmental Disabilities and Health Services Student Intern at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In 2016, they joined Nielsen as a Research Analyst in the Consumer Neuroscience division. In 2018, they were a Project Coordinator & Data Collection Specialist at Neurable, a startup focusing on brain computer interface (BCI). Serena also worked as a Research Associate at Investor Group Services (IGS) in 2019 and as a Neurophysiologist, Consumer Neuroscience at Nielsen. In the same year, they were also a Postgraduate Student at UCL. In 2020, they worked as an Honorary Researcher at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and as a Commercial Development Manager at Cognetivity Neurosciences Ltd. Lastly, in 2022, they joined Affectiva as a Research Manager, Media Analytics and Smart Eye as a Research Manager, Affectiva Media Analytics.

Serena Pang obtained their High School Diploma from Thayer Academy in 2012. Serena then attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a Psychology (Neuroscience track; B.S.) and a Bachelor's Degree with Individual Concentration (B.S.) in Neurobiology and Behavior. In 2014, they studied Spanish at Universidad de Salamanca. In 2019, they obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Neuroscience from UCL. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from various institutions, including Agile Fundamentals: Scrum, Kanban and Scrumban from Udemy in 2019, The Complete Product Management Course from Udemy in 2019, The Project Management Course: Beginner to PROject Manager from Udemy in 2019, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt from Nielsen in 2017, Developmental Disabilities and Human Services (DDHS) from University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2016, ICH-GCP adapted for the UK in English from Whitehall Training in 2020, and CITI certification from CITI Program, A Division of BRANY in 2018.
