Tim Nelson

Tim Nelson, PE, is a Mechanical Engineer II at AEI/Affiliated Engineers, Inc. since July 2014, having previously held the position of Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer. Nelson obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona, where studies were conducted from 2009 to 2014. During this time, Nelson gained practical experience as an Engineering Intern at the University of Arizona Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, assisting in cleanroom thermal testing for camera systems used in the Osiris-Rex space return mission and designing parts utilizing CAD programs such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Expertise includes CAD, thermal analysis, and component design, complemented by an optical background.
