Ankit Gupta is a seasoned program leader and scientist with expertise in drug development, particularly in gene therapy for rare diseases and metabolic disorders. Currently serving as Senior Director and Head of Gene Editing at Affini-T Therapeutics, Ankit leads a gene-editing team and is overseeing the AFNT-212 program, the company's first gene-editing therapy targeting KRAS solid tumors. Previously, Ankit held leadership roles at Takeda and bluebird bio, focusing on gene-editing strategies and assays. Ankit earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology from the University of Massachusetts Medical School and holds a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
