William Penney

William Penney has worked in the technology industry since 1999. William began their career at Ciena, where they held various roles including Professional Services Project Management, Technical Project Manager, Senior Developer, Scrum Master, Lead Software Engineer, and Senior Software Development Engineer. In 2019, they moved to Innovapost as a Release and Deployment Management Consultant. In 2021, they joined AffinityClick Inc. as Director of Engineering and Operations. In this role, they are responsible for the establishment, leadership, and overall management of a multidisciplinary engineering and support team, contributing to the overall strategic business plan, leading and managing departmental staff and associated resources, and providing leadership and direction to the organization's product management, software engineering, quality assurance, support, and DevOps domains. William is also responsible for establishing development best practices, overseeing engineering estimates, and ensuring the work and products of the engineering department are in compliance with standards and regulations.

William Penney attended Dalhousie University from 1992 to 1999, where they earned a Major in Computer Science with a field of study in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.
