Matt Banach

Matt Banach is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in software engineering and team management. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Affirm since September 2020, Matt focuses on developing omni-channel servicing software solutions, enhancing consumer servicing outcomes. Previously, Matt held roles at Affirm including Senior Manager of Software Engineering and Manager of Software Engineering, where achievements included the integration of Amazon checkout and streamlining recruitment processes. Prior to Affirm, Matt worked at Gametime United as an Engineering Manager and Senior Software Engineer, successfully migrating mobile applications and improving user experiences. Matt's career began at Touch Development as a Proprietor, where significant contributions included a commercial real-estate marketing app and participation in the founding of a taxi dispatching platform. Matt holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Chicago.
