Matthew Yu

Matthew Yu is an accomplished professional in the field of application security, currently serving as the Head of Application Security at Affirm since September 2021. In addition, Matthew is an Advisor at 645 Ventures, a position held since October 2023. Previously, Matthew held the role of Senior Manager of Product Security at ServiceNow from 2014 to September 2021, specializing in application security, offensive security, and cloud vulnerability management. Early career experiences include positions at Intuit as a Software & Systems Engineer, Lockent Security as Product Security, and Northrop Grumman Information Systems as a Software Engineer, along with a brief tenure as a National Geographic Engineer for Exploration at Qualcomm Institute. Matthew began his career as an IT Supervisor at Decurion Corporation from 2006 to 2008. Educational qualifications include degrees from UC San Diego and the University of California, San Diego - Rady School of Management.
