Mario E. Brown

Mario E. Brown is the Chief Executive Officer of Affordable Upstate, an innovative affordable housing platform that focuses on preserving and modernizing housing across North and South Carolina. Since co-founding the organization in 2017, they have led efforts that raised over $55 million in investor equity and impacted more than 120 naturally occurring affordable housing communities. Prior to their role at Affordable Upstate, Mario served as a New Home Specialist at Eastwood Homes and as the Area Director of Operations at D1 Sports Training. They hold a degree in Political Science from Gardner-Webb University.
