At AffordableDx we understand the disparities that exist within our current medical system. In an effort to decrease these inequalities, we have created a novel system that gives power back to the patient.

It all began when one of our team members evaluated a patient who needed a knee MRI. If the patient used his insurance, he would have had to pay thousands towards his deductible. To make matters worse, the hospital cash price for an MRI was still too high. In an effort to help the patient, our team member called imaging centers for their knee MRI cash prices.

After making numerous calls, he recognized a large discrepancy in prices between rural and urban areas and between large hospitals and locally owned imaging centers. This led to the eureka moment.

We began to envision a website that could help patients find the lowest prices for diagnostic services. This would allow every patient, regardless of financial status, to receive the best quality care at an affordable price. Thus, AffordableDx.com was born.

AffordableDx.com is a website created by a group of healthcare professionals and tech industry leaders to provide a platform for imaging centers to compete with larger healthcare organizations.
