Dan Long is an experienced labor leader with a strong background in union activism and collective bargaining. As the Founding President of the Seven Mountains Central Labor Council under the AFL-CIO since November 2005, Dan has effectively led a diverse group of union activists. In the role of Unit 31 President, Dan administers Collective Bargaining Agreements and represents members of two major private sector firms. Previously, as the Legislative and Political Coordinator for CWA District 2-13 PA from October 2013 to 2018, Dan directed a grassroots committee focused on legislative issues impacting CWA members. Dan's foundational experience includes serving as Unit 31 Secretary for CWA AFL-CIO, where responsibilities included maintaining membership records and supporting the President in correspondence and meeting organization. Dan holds a Labor Studies Certificate from Penn State University, earned between 2004 and 2009, and has additional educational experience from St. Bonaventure University.
