Itziar Zabaleta

Itziar Zabaleta is an experienced R&D Engineer currently working at UNITH and Aflorithmic since February 2022. Previously, Zabaleta served as a Teaching Assistant and PhD Student at Universitat Pompeu Fabra from October 2017 to April 2022 and held the position of Research Assistant at A*STAR from April 2017 to September 2017. Zabaleta has experience in education, having taught mathematics and physics at ASES Academia, and has worked as an architect for RMA architects and RYE. Early career experience includes graphic design at Publicaciones ETSAUN. Zabaleta holds a PhD in Information Technology from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and multiple degrees, including a BSc in Mathematics with a Minor in Computer Science from Universitat de Barcelona and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, as well as a BSc and MSc in Architecture from University of Navarra. Additionally, Zabaleta has a background in music, having completed an elementary grade in piano at Escuela música Joaquín Maya.
