Matthias Lehmann has held a number of positions in various industries since 2006. In 2006, they were a Customer Interface Management and Event Management for Colt Technology Services. In 2007, they became a Senior Project Manager for TUI. From 2012-2013, they were a Key Account Manager for Pacific World, Global Destination, Event & Congress Management. In 2013, they co-founded TO MUCH MORE, an online store for design products exclusively made in Europe, and Bauer LeMans, a business development company. From 2017-2019, they were an Ecommerce Consultant for wdp GmbH, a Marketing Manager DACH and Supercluster Marketing Manager for Catawiki, and a Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Aflorithmic. In 2019, they also went on a 99 day sailing trip from Stavoren, Netherlands to Barcelona, Spain.

Matthias Lehmann attended Stanford Continuing Studies in 2016, where they earned a degree in Organizational Leadership with the title of "The Exceptional Leader: A Framework for Successful, Scalable and Impactful Leadership". Prior to this, they attended EADA Business School from 2011 to 2012 and earned an Executive Master in Marketing Management in the field of Marketing. Before that, from 2002 to 2005, they attended CBS International Business School and earned a degree in International Travel and Tourism Management in the field of Tourism.
