Senior Software Engineer (Tech lead) at Aflorithmic

Samuel Hunt has held various roles in the software engineering, teaching, and product testing/reviewing fields. In 2021, they began their current role as Senior Software Engineer (Tech lead) at Aflorithmic. Prior to this, they were a Lecturer (Graduate Tutor) at the University of the West of England from 2014-2021, and a Graduate Tutor In Computer Science and Creative Technologies & PhD Student from 2014-2021. Samuel also worked as a Product Tester/Reviewer from 2016-2021. In 2013, they held a Software Development Intern role at Focusrite Audio Engineering Limited, and in 2012, they were Co-Founder of Eye Scream Records. In 2012, they were also a PAL Leader at the University of the West of England. From 2011-2012, they were a Work Experience Student at Bott Ltd., and in 2009, they held a Work Experience Student role at ETC Ltd. Samuel began their career in 2006 as a Cleaner at Helpful Holidays.

Samuel Hunt has a varied educational background. Samuel attended Budehaven from 2004 to 2011, where they completed A Levels and GCSEs. From 2012 to 2015, they studied at the University of the West of England, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Audio and Music Technology. In 2016 and 2017, they returned to the University of the West of England to complete a PGCert in Higher Education. Samuel is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science at the same university. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from Coursera, including Nand to Tetris (2016), Machine Learning (2015), and An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python (date unknown).
