Matthew Rishell

Matthew Rishell is an experienced professional in development and advocacy, currently serving as an Independent Contractor for Africa New Day, where responsibilities include consulting on development, communications, system building, and advocacy. Prior experience encompasses roles as Advocacy and Amplification Specialist for Eastern Congo Initiative and Hydrological Survey Technician for Gahagan and Bryant Associates. As Director of Youth Ministry at First Presbyterian Church of Lewisburg, Matthew significantly increased youth program engagement and honed interpersonal and communication skills through public speaking and social media management. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from Durham University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Law from Susquehanna University, complemented by study abroad experience in Italy focused on International Relations. Notably, Matthew co-founded the Pangea Project to support refugees through language classes and community service.
