Michael Kimathi

Michael Kimathi has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Michael is currently employed at Africa's Talking as the Developer Relations Community Lead, where they are responsible for executing a community engagement strategy and representing the company externally. Prior to this, they worked at Elarian as a Developer Relations (Community) Lead.

In 2016, Michael served as the Atlassian Community Nairobi Lead, volunteering for Atlassian. Their responsibilities included organizing productive sessions for the community, promoting the better use of Atlassian tools, and sharing best practices.

Michael also has experience as a Consulting Entrepreneur at MK Investments since 2011, where they provide consulting services. Michael co-founded BantaMik, Inc. in 2010 and served as a Co-Founder until 2020.

In the past, Michael worked as a Developer Community Manager at BlackBerry, leading the development of the BlackBerry 10 platform. Michael also played a key role in the sponsorship and success of Pivot East, as well as providing test devices at M-Lab East Africa.
