The rose farm Afrilora - Sher is located next to Lake Ziway, at a height of 1650 meter above sea level and approximately 3 hours’ drive from the capital, Addis Ababa. Besides the farm in Ziway, “Sher roses” are also cultivated at 2 other locations: Koka farm, which is an hour’s drive from Ziway, and a farm in the village of Adami Tulu, which is near to Ziway.

The total area of ​these greenhouse complexes is some 500 hectares.

More than 65 different types of roses are grown at Sher Ethiopia. Large and small-flowered roses and spray roses in many different colors.

Cuttings, plants, harvesting, processing, packing, transport, all work is carried out by local employees.

For the processing of the roses, special processing halls have been built, connected to the 38 greenhouses, where every day about 3 to 4 million roses are processed. The roses are processed into ready-made bunches, depending on the wishes of the customer, to reduce the costs for the customer.
