Bernhard Häckl

Bernhard Hörmann is a Scientist in Assay Development at Thermo Fisher Scientific since March 2021. Prior experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Scientist at Universität Freiburg and as a Predoctoral Fellow at EMBL, where research focused on protein translation in Drosophila under the supervision of Prof. Maja Köhn. Bernhard's earlier research involvement includes a Master Student position at DKFZ, investigating signal transduction in cancer, a Bachelor Student role at The University of Edinburgh studying nuclear membrane proteins, and a Summer Research Student internship at CeMM. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MSc in Biology and Molecular and Cellular Biology from Heidelberg University, along with a BA in Musica Sacra and a BSc in Molecular Biology from Vienna institutions.
