Göran Edbom

Göran Edbom is a seasoned telecommunications consultant currently working with the European Union on 5G private networks through the NG SIMS project. Since September 2022, Edbom has also held a senior consultancy role at AFRY and previously contributed to the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority by strategizing the allocation of Mobile Network Codes. Additional consultancy roles include strategy development for telecom procurement and tutorials on robust IP networks. Edbom has over three decades of experience at Telia, where significant positions included Sr Expert TV Systems, Technical Director of IPTV, and Strategy Manager for IP/Datacom Networks. Edbom holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and an MBA from Uppsala University.
