Richard Longden

Richard Longden is a Principal Engineering Geologist at AF-Consult Switzerland Ltd, specializing in large hydropower projects from pre-feasibility to construction stages. With 27 years of experience in site investigation and geotechnical design across multiple countries, Richard has worked on notable projects including Seitevare HPP in Sweden and Xayaburi HPP in Laos. They hold a Bachelor's degree in Geology from The University of Sheffield and a Master's degree in Engineering Geology from the University of Leeds, and are recognized as a Chartered Geologist and European Geologist.
