Varhimo Pekka

Varhimo Pekka is a highly experienced Chief Process Engineer currently working at AFRY since January 2019, following a progression from Senior Process Engineer. Prior to this role, Varhimo held positions at Stora Enso from April 2016 to December 2018, where responsibilities included Development Engineer with a focus on fiberline and pulp drying processes, and Production and Maintenance Shift Supervisor overseeing pulp production operations. Varhimo's earlier experience includes project planning at the National Emergency Supply Agency and research positions at Aalto University and Helsinki University of Technology, culminating in the attainment of a Doctor of Science degree in Paper Technology from Aalto University. Varhimo also possesses a Master of Science degree in Forest Products Technology from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan.
