Mark Orlov

Mark Orlov is an experienced foreign language teacher and translation specialist with a diverse background in education and consulting. Since February 2017, Mark has been teaching foreign languages in various group settings and promoting language immersion through events such as "Movies in a native language." Mark has volunteered with AFS Intercultural Programs since August 2018, focusing on the coordination of international educational activities and psychological support for students from foreign countries while also teaching Russian as a foreign language. As a freelance translation specialist, Mark provides text translation and editing services across various genres, including game localization and fiction. Prior experience includes roles as a consultant manager for vehicle registration and an insurance broker, complemented by a Master’s degree from Saint Petersburg State University and a Bachelor's degree in East Asia from the Institute of Economics.
