Alia Griffing

Alia Griffing is currently the Political and Legislative Director for AFSCME in California. They previously served as a Lobbyist and the Director of Research & Public Policy at the Washington Federation of State Employees from 2007 to 2016, and as Political & Legislative Director at AFSCME Council 57 from 2018 to 2020. They also worked as a Contract Lobbyist at Alia Griffing Government Relations from 2004 to 2007 and held the position of Board Chair at the Washington State Parks Foundation from 2016 to 2018. Alia holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Washington, a J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law, and a certificate in Senior Executives in State and Local Government from Harvard University.
