Ann Widger

Ann Widger is currently the Director of AFSCME Retirees, where they continue to engage retired members and local groups in legislative and political campaigns. Previously, they served as the Director of External Affairs for the US Department of Health & Human Services, creating strategies for outreach and building relationships with key constituents. Ann has also held roles at the White House as Associate Director of the Office of Public Engagement and managed senior outreach for Obama for America. They possess a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Plymouth State University and have a history of organizing and advocacy work through various organizations, including AFSCME and OWL: The Voice of Midlife and Older Women.
