Lance Poole

Lance Poole is an experienced leader in the insurance and financial technology sectors, currently serving as the Head of Insurance at After.com since August 2025. Poole co-founded Maxwell Financial Labs in May 2015, functioning as a Board Advisor while facilitating the development of a SaaS platform that enhances workflow automation for mortgage professionals. Previous roles include Head of AI Underwriting and Head of Data Labs at Next Insurance, where Poole advanced AI capabilities and technology to support entrepreneurs, as well as CEO of Juniper Labs, focusing on machine learning solutions for small business insurance before its acquisition by Next Insurance. Additional experience includes serving as CEO of d.behavior, Director of Product Development at Pack Health, VP of Product at Protective Life, and various positions at Torchmark Corporation. Poole holds a Master's degree in Applied Statistics from The University of Alabama and completed a Design Thinking Boot Camp at Stanford University.
